Oh my! I guess I'm mostly home in the mid-atlantic during the winter
months and have not had the errrr....... pleasure.

I get enough odd looks on the bus at it is...! Although it probably
would guarantee me a seat to myself.

We won't even get into the fun with frozen snot and facial hair...

Um, thanks no.

Don't get me wrong, I do love walks on snowy days when it's not too
bitter, and I think the winter landscape is beautiful. I would never
want to live somewhere without seasons, but I still despise cold. Upper
20s and up if there's no wind and I'm moving can be fine.

We tried to go on a long hike at Manassas Battlefield Park yesterday. The
operative word being *tried*.

Note to self: When the weather is described as blustery, don't go for long
walks in wide open spaces where the wind is blowing your 80 pound dog
sideways.

Yikes! Pretty windy today too, and Thursday is supposed to have high
winds. EVERY Thursday has been high winds lately - a weird cycle.

Anything over 32F is nice in my book.

We had some cruising through our back field this winter. We didn't
witness them though, just the tracks. What really sucks is there is
nothing you can do about it unless the police were to catch them in the
act. They also are so loud that they wake my wife up when they go
flying down the road illegally at 2 am.

I worry that whoever was trespassing through my back field could do the
same thing to Yoda. He runs around the field when we take him out and
we usually stand by the back of the house, out of sight in the direction
the snowmobiler entered the field from.

I always thought about putting up reenforced low walls that will
trash their snowmobile and send them flying. But I figured my insurance
would get sued, even though they are the ones trespassing.

I do to. I wish someone would enact a knee jerk law banning
snowmobiles.

16 things?

1. Shorts
2. Carhartt
3. knee high boots

I count 3 assuming I didn't have anything on to begin with. (Not saying
I lay around naked, just doing a worst case count)

Yeah, you've got to change the freezing temp as a result of whatever is
in your snot. Figure ~sub -10 and you've got snot crystals.

Correct.

Do we really want to make an offhand remark demonstrating my level of
dislike for snowmobiles into a gun argument?

Not a gun argument, a situational libertoonianism argument.

On principal I wouldn't support a ban of snowmobiles. I wish for it for
the same reason I wish they had never been invented. Both are
unrealistic and would never happen. I'm sure that in responsible hands
they can be a lot of fun. I just have never met a responsible
snowmobiler.

I hope they are out there.

And since we are on the topic of guns. I picked up my CPL from the
county clerk's office this morning. I no longer have to unload my
magazines when going to the gun range.

I think you need to spend more time outside. There are tons
of responsible snowmobilers - probably more than there are
irresponsible ones.
